Covid   was hard, we can't deny it. Dating back then was also challenging. That's why Ev and I  thought that we could create a top-down, pixel art game that  would encapsulate that experience in a funny way. So welcome to Susie! I Need a Date: Pandemic Edition!

Main story

At the beginning, the player chooses over +15 available characters as their avatar.  The game will start in the shared flat you have with Susie. She will help you get out of your head and find love! You will decide what to do you with your time since that will have an effect on the dating system! Maybe you want to work and improve your finances or become a gastronomy expert to impress somebody! But be careful, there are some activities that will make you feel anxious, scared. At the end, Covid was not easy at all, right? You need to balance  things and sometimes going out will help!

So do whatever you want during the morning and afternoon, but be ready for the evening because it is dating time!

The game will be presented in the   Safe In Our World Mental Health Game Dev Champions 2024, so that is why we have until the end of October to show a decent job! Feedback is more than welcome!

This is a preview build, the demo build should be ready in a couple of weeks in time for the Gamejam.

Some of what you can see above, such as the (almost) complete character roster represents content that won’t be available in-game til sometime later. We have big plans for this but for the Gamejam, it’ll be more like a limited demo.

Please check back in a week or two, then again after October 31st for more content! Thanks as always for your interest!

Good Job!!!very much looking forward to it
